Puzzlewood will be celebrating Christmas this year by presenting the 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS...a magical woodland walk.
Each day will be represented in its own special way and Puzzlewood has commissioned various local artists to help with this unique presentation.
The walk is filled with imagination, creativity, a little comedy and ends with an interactive musical explosion with drums and pipes to get everyone into the spirit of Christmas.
Also inside the woods will be our nativity, with our donkeys, goats and a few other Puzzlewood animals.
Plus there’s a new indoor straw maze and toddler racing track.

Puzzlewood is very pleased to be supporting Ed Elliot, an emerging sculpture artist.
With interests in mythology, folklore and their relationship with human perception and the psyche, Ed’s work has the power to evoke many different emotions in the viewer. Placement is key to the power of these sculptures, and Puzzlewood is the idyllic setting.
"Exhibiting my work in such a stunning and ethereal location is ideal," said Elliott. "The unique topography of this ancient woodland is the perfect backdrop for my sculptures."

Puzzlewood is very pleased to announce that Bryan Singer has filmed at Puzzlewood for his new movie, Jack the Giant Killer. This is the first time these ancient woodlands and scowles have been used for an international film which is scheduled for release in June 2012.
Jack the Giant Killer, is a modern day adaptation of the classic children’s fairy tale Jack and the Beanstalk’. It follows a young farmer, Jack, played by Nicholas Hoult, who's given the chance to lead a dangerous expedition to save a princess. The princess, played by Eleanor Tomlinson, was kidnapped and the peace between man and giant is threatened.
Other stars on set here at Puzzlewood included Ewan McGregor, Stanley Tucci, Eddie Marson, Simon Lowe, Ewen Bremmer and Mingus Johnston.
One lucky visitor came to Puzzlewood on a whim and managed to watch some of the filming taking place. Read her blog to find out more and to see her filming photographs -

Michael McIntyre and his family came and hunted for bunnies for two hours in Puzzlewood. He said he had a great time and joked with the staff saying "You’re asking me to look for bunnies up here and I’m falling over roots down here!".
He kindly posed for photographs with the staff and signed our guest book. Unfortunately the staff were too star struck to ask if he was staying in the forest and how he found us.

A fantastic day was had by all! Puzzlewood had a great time making 120 bee homes with children from four local primary schools: Primrose Hill, Yorkley, Tutshill and Newnham.
The children used a selection of materials to make cosy bee homes to take home and place in their gardens. Hopefully, they’ll report back soon with good news.
"Hi Helen,
Just a quick note to thank you for a great birthday party. Everyone enjoyed themselves and we felt it ran really smoothly due to you and your staff's efforts. I think due to the variety of activities on offer there is something for everyone and the children were entertained the whole time which reduced the stress for me. Have a great summer, thanks again."
The BBC History magazine scoured the UK for the "Top 10 best adventures in history for kids" , and featured these attractions in their 2009 and 2010 Summer Guides. Puzzlewood are proud to announce we came 7th overall.
